The meeting was held in the National Stadium of Chile, both teams with the
obligation to win, Chile meanwhile, to be ratified as a candidate to get the
cup, and the doubts of his game, and moreover Mexico trying to avoid
elimination and
change the game plan.
Chile came out with a 3-4-1-2 formation, and Mexico would turn a 5-3-2
scheme. Since
the start of the match Chile attacked the Mexican combo, but despite this, the
game at the start was slow, playing more like he wanted Mexico, which like
Chile wanted, any attempt to attack Red, was arrested, and braking the
Mexican defense, but in the 20th minute, the stadium completely silent, with a
goal from Matias Vuoso, opening marking Chile 0 Mexico 1, but the joy was
short-lived Aztec box as one minutes later head Arturo Vidal, evens the
score.
After the first Mexican goal, the game became a faster processing, finding
more space both teams, but in 28 minutes, a clear opportunity for Mexico, which
is saved by Claudio Bravo using the crossbar, and made the
ball to a corner, and that action Raul Jimenez, score the 2-1 in favor of the
Mexican national team.
The meeting continued with high pressure from Mexico, avoiding any chance for Chileans, but nevertheless, Eduardo Vargas, would score equal to the Chilean selected, and thus culminate the first half with a score 2 between both sets.
A fairly contested, with errors in defense, but especially with several
failures by both archers, who in my opinion could have done better, locked
meeting Mexico trying to slow down the game, however, it was a first entertaining time.
The second timepo beginning with Chile, different, with more sparkle and grit, maximizing the explosiveness of his players, and 54 minutes, Arturo Vidal, in scores his second goal to give advantage to Red, and put partial figures of 3-2 in favor of Chile.
But a few minutes later, Vuoso's feet, and taking advantage of an imbalance
in the Chilean defense, would score his second goal of the brake, and tie the
match 3-3, the game was fairly intense, making back and forth, and 80
minutes Chilean joy show with a goal from Alexis Sanchez, who would be
nullified by offside. Chile
kept attacking, to win the game at the last minute. But
the meeting was held to a draw a 3 between the two teams.
A Chile in the second half was more aggressive, riskier, deeper, unable to
win the game and this tie would leave with 4 units, matching quantity of points
to Bolivia, who are relatively comfortable and practically qualified for the
next round,
meanwhile Mexico, has 2 units, and currently be in third place in Group A,
above Ecuador, who until now has units, and played in the last date, qualifying
for the quarter- end.
